Vigna STEINRAFFLER Lagrein DOC 2018 – Hofstätter

This wine is native to South Tyrol and is now appreciated all over the world. Only the name “Vigna” in South Tyrol guarantees the origin of a wine from a specific vineyard.
Dense and pleasantly typed, it reveals itself to the taster with elegance. It has a deep garnet red color.
The olfactory bouquet combines earthy-mineral and fruity aromas. The fruity component remains almost hidden at the beginning, then, in the glass develops in a crescendo of aromas of ripe black plums.
The palate highlights its fruity and mineral aromatic components.

In the cellar, after a short maceration, the must ferments with the skins for about ten days. Passage in oak barrels for 15 months followed by 7 months in oak tuns after blending and finally a minimum of 12 months maturing in the bottle.
