Di Leone Land

The Terre di Leone estate is located in Porta Marano di Valpolicella (VR), seven hectares in the hills of Verona where Chiara and Federico’s family has given birth to a young company that has a strong and deep connection with the territory, its peculiarities and its history. The passion, the work in the vineyard and the identity are the result of the teaching of grandfather Leone, to whom the company is dedicated, and who knew how to transmit all his knowledge to the next generation. With great enthusiasm, this cultural and agricultural heritage was highlighted, updated, without forgetting the origins, the past tradition. This has led to the creation of 5 labels, all of which come from grape varieties traditionally grown in Valpolicella, such as Corvina, Rondinella, Corvinone, Molinara and Oseleta, grown in the Classico area, where there are many valleys and where three macro-zones can be distinguished: Valpolicella Classica to the west, Valpantena and Soave and Vicenza to the east. In Marano, in the largest valley, the vineyards are located at an altitude of 500 meters on a volcanic soil, a poor basaltic soil with many aquifers, very sunny and protected by the Lessini Mountains. The peculiarity of this winery is its willingness to speak only of Marano, therefore of a specific place that expresses unique characteristics. Terre Di Leone works all its vineyards without any irrigation and in an organic way.
