This Barbera d’Alba DOC is a great Italian red wine from Piedmont, made from old Barbera vines. Work of Marziano Abbona, a discreet but very talented figure of the Piedmontese wine industry. A native grape variety, a beautiful expression of the terroir and of a healthy, very traditional vinification, with a short passage in oak barrels to soften the tannins without losing the freshness of the fruit.
