The VERDERAME BRIGADE was born of the friendship of biodynamic winemakers united by the desire to preserve the heritage of rural knowledge in wine.
What the VERDERAME BRIGADE has in common is the memory of the magical, ancient recipe for preparing verdigris (copper water), named after the color of the mixture.
Verderame, now extinct, was for hundreds of years the only way to protect vines from mildew.

BRIGATA VERDERAME’s biodynamic wines draw from the generosity of ripe grapes, when the skins have a high population of indigenous yeasts, the strength to face a winemaking process that renounces the use of selected yeasts and fermentation additives. BRIGATA VERDERAME is the wine of the countryside, Demeter biodynamic with spontaneous fermentation without solfits, a clear and authentic expression of tradition, terroir and vintage where any “flaws” enhance its complexity and sincerity.
