The 2012 Amarone della Valpolicella DOCG Classico Terre di Leone is an almost austere wine that was aged for nearly 8 years in 25hl French oak barrels. The bouquet is composed of blue flowers, anemones, iris, cinchona, cherries, aquatic herbs, mint, tobacco, orange and plum. It is a fresh, tasty, very long wine with an aftertaste that recalls the aromaticity perceived in the nose. A complex wine while remaining simple and pleasant mem for a neophyte.
